Dear Ed and Sonja,
Penny and I have been following you on Facebook and are very glad you are heading back to South Africa; it’s where you belong.  As I watched your video post from Branson I got a wave of nostalgia, ya it surprised me too!!

The Lord has blessed us through your ministry in so many ways. You helped us raise our girls with; Toddler’s Friends, speaking at IL District kid’s Camps that Abby and Rachel attended, speaking at Missionettes Winter Camps, all of the outreaches you guys did at our church (Elgin, Normal, Waupaca), inviting Abby to join your staff at JR as a Missionary Associate, and of course, all of the training materials that you have produced.  Our girls are now 38 and 40, godly women who married godly men and are faithfully serving our Lord.

I hope you remember the last time we were together at JR. We began talking talking about how many ministries and missionaries that you guys helped launch. Men and women are serving around the world using the skills they learned from you. Now that Abby and Jeff are in full-time missions in South Africa they are consistently running into ministry leaders that were mentored under your ministry at JR. Every time they are invited back to JR as speakers they relive  meeting each other and how they feel in love at JR.  Thanks for investing in their lives and ministry. You were such a blessing when you spoke at Hope Church in Freedom Park for them. 

I know that every cent we have invested in the Corbin’s (AG mission pledges, personal and church, JR offerings, BGMC designated offerings, honorariums, and now Release the Children) for over 35 years have been investments in the Great Commission, paying eternal returns on our investments. We have always invested joyfully and confidently.  We know you are running the race, keeping the faith, and fighting the fight.  We pray for you every day.  Hope to see you before you leave, if not we will see you in Both Africa next summer.
